Jewellery Care
Gold vermeil is a high quality form of thick gold plating over sterling silver. To be considered Vermeil, the plating must be at least 2.5 microns thick making it less likely to tarnish, however over time the plating can wear away and therefore needs to be treated with extra care. With a little bit of love you can extend the life of your jewellery and keep it looking its best.
We recommend you store your jewellery in its original box, a soft pouch or an airtight container to slow down tarnishing. Keep pieces stored separately to avoid scratching. Keep chains fastened to avoid tangling.
It's really important your jewellery doesn’t come into contact with cosmetics, perfumes and chemicals. Take your jewellery off when swimming, cleaning and washing your hands. Keep jewellery away from high temperatures and moisture.
Your jewellery must be carefully cleaned to avoid rubbing away the layer of gold. You can clean using a dry microfibre polishing cloth and gently rub the surface, be careful not to rub too vigorously. Do not use jewellery cleaner on gold plated jewellery!
